Review Process

Works submitted to the Trailblazer Treatise for Applied Research and Art will be subjected to a three-fold review process. After receipt of submission, articles will be reviewed by the associate editor for compliance to submission guidelines and plagiarism policy. If submissions meet the guidelines and policy, the work will be reviewed by members of the editorial board to determine if the elements of the work fits the scope and intention of the journal. Successful submissions will be forwarded through a peer-review process. This process will provide critical analysis and feedback to the contributors of the submission. TTARA adheres to a double-blind, peer-reviewed process, ensuring the anonymity and confidentiality of the reviewer and author at all times. Contributors will receive one of the following responses after the peer review: “accepted”, “conditionally accepted with minor revisions required”; “conditionally accepted with major revisions required”; or “declined submission.”

• Accepted: Submission is accepted with only small changes needed. The work will be sent to an editor for a more in-depth review.
• Conditionally Accepted with Minor Revisions Required: Submission is accepted when necessary adjustments are completed based on recommendations of peer review feedback. Once adjustments are finalized, the work is sent to an editor for a more in-depth review.
• Conditionally Accepted with Major Revisions Required: Submission requires substantial changes to be made based on peer review feedback. The work has been deemed of interest and to possess potential for publication. Once adjustments are finalized, the work is sent to an editor for a more in-depth review.
• Declined Submission: Submission is not accepted for publiction. The content, purpose, or research of the work is not appropriate for TTARA.

Authors who receive an acceptance or conditional acceptance will be provided a deadline for resubmission with changes completed. The resubmission will once again be peer reviewed to approve final adjustments. Once approved, the article will be sent to an editor for final review. Authors will be provided only two attempts for resubmission to make changes to have their work approved.
