Call for Articles

The Trailblazer Treatise for Applied Research and Art is a multidisiciplinary academic journal that encourages contributions from Tarrant County College students, faculty, and staff. It also invites outside academics and industry professionals for contributions. To see the full submission guidelines, please click here.

The Trailblazer Treatise for Applied Research and Art (TTARA) is multidisciplinary, double-blind, peer-reviewed, open access journal. The mission of TTARA is to enhance and disseminate scholarship by creating an online platform for students, faculty, academics, and industry professionals to publish research and art that offers insight into adaptive application. The journal publishes research centered on the natural and social sciences, business, humanities, languages, and education. It also encourages research into other areas of study to augment the body of research available in that subject. Moreover, works of fiction and art are also considered for publication. TTARA is committed to offering substantial support throughout the review and editing process to produce works that possess the clarity and applicability comprehensible to a wide audience.

Submission Categories

Research Articles: Written submissions of this category reflect original research expounding upon pre-existing information on a given topic.

Review Papers: These types of written submissions summarize current ways of understanding a topic.

Academic Explorations: This category of submissions provide a voice for students, educators, staff, and industry professionals to share their perspectives on scholarly learning. Perceived challenges and solutions within educational topics may be discussed. This may also provide an opportunity to disseminate successful teaching practices or effective study methods.

Works of Literature: This category provides students, faculty, and staff opportunities to submit their short works of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, or visual artwork.

Industry Discoveries: Written submissions of this type are an opportunity for faculty and industry professionals to provide overviews of challenges or changes within an industry or with specific topics of interest.

Submissions must not be previously published in any medium or form or be under review in another journal. Authors should refrain from submitting their work to another journal until after a decision for publication has been reached by the editorial board. If accepted for publication, TTARA requests authors not submit their work to another journal.

Author Guidelines

Submissions undergo a three-fold review process. Work adhering to the scope of the journal, offering insight for adaptive application, and passing the academic writing requirements of the editorial board will be considered for publication.

Works must adhere to the Author Guidlines.

Prior to initial submission, please ensure requirements have been followed. Submissions that do not meet the journal specifications will be automatically returned to the author.
